Advice for Road Runners: The HOKA Women's Bondi 8 Road Running Shoes are ultra-cushioned neutral running shoes. Designed to take pressure off your feet and legs, and to help you run in greater comfort.
Underfoot Feel
Significant amounts of soft cushioning is what you should notice when running in the Bondi 8. While the midsole contains a lot of soft foam, these shoes feel light on your feet.
While the Bondi 8 are neutral running shoes, they are very stable neutral running shoes. This stability mainly stems from two sources:
- HOKA's Active Foot Frame™ which allows your feet to sit into the midsole, not on top of it.
- The broad midsole and outsole which create a stable platform to land and push off from.
The Bondi are designed to make running feel easier. HOKA's MetaRocker™ results in curvature at the heel and the forefoot - allowing you to move through the gait cycle with greater ease and efficiency.
Upper Fit
The Bondi 8's upper features soft and breathable mesh. While you should expect an accommodating fit, the mesh will sit quite close to your feet.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
